Get Ready to Gather: Our Crow Party Is Almost Here!

There’s something a little mysterious, a little sparkly, and a whole lot of fun coming to Otter & Oak, our Crow Party is almost here! Join us on September 18 from 5–7 p.m. for an evening inspired by one of nature’s cleverest collectors: the crow. Think dark, whimsical, shiny, curious, and just a little bit magical. And yes, we absolutely encourage dressing for the occasion. Come in your best crow finery whether that means head-to-toe black, a dramatic jacket, feathers, something vintage, or simply adding a little shimmer and sparkle to your outfit. There’s no dress code and no pressure to go all out, but if you’ve ever needed an excuse to wear something a little extra, this is it.

Bring a Trinket, Take a Trinket

Crows are famous for their fascination with interesting little objects, so naturally, we had to include a trinket exchange. Bring along a small, inexpensive treasure to add to the exchange; something fun, quirky, shiny, charming, or unexpected. In return, you’ll get to choose a trinket that someone else brought. The idea isn’t about value; it’s about the fun of finding a tiny treasure that catches your eye. Think charms, pins, little figurines, keychains, crystals, vintage odds and ends, tiny decorations, or anything else that feels perfectly crow-worthy.

Little Treasures Along the Way

There will also be opportunities to collect small prizes and trinkets throughout the evening. Expect a few surprises tucked into the festivities, because what would a Crow Party be without a little treasure hunting?

More than anything, this evening is meant to be fun — a chance to dress up, wander through the shop, discover something unexpected, exchange a tiny treasure, and spend a couple of hours enjoying a wonderfully unusual night in downtown Hinton.

So raid your closet for black, add a little sparkle, find a trinket to bring along, and come join the flock.
